Best quotes of the week

These may or may not be funny. I wrote them down and had many thoughts about each one. I just liked and appreciated all of them for different reasons.

We all think the same way, just in a different language.” – So true. Native nurse lady I worked with at the humanitarian project. We have been making hygiene kits for the communities in West Bank.

Terrorists like to talk! – We had a forum the other night and a journalist guy from London spoke. He was hilarious. Here he was talking about setting up meetings with terrorists to interview them, and he said it isn't that hard because of the above quote hahahahaha.

To generalize is a tool of the weak. – Adnan Musallam. This is my Palestinian Arab Christian teacher. He a great man, even though I have a really hard time paying attention in that class.

I am a slave of those ID cards. – Adnan Musallam. This is not a happy quote at all, but it really made me think. People like Adnan who live in West Bank HAVE to have their ID cards with them always. They can’t get out of West Bank without them. It really is a form of slavery because they do not have freedoms to go the places that they want. Apparently it is very difficult for anybody in Israel to travel to America or most places. That just stinks. I am grateful for the freedoms that I have.

Many of times I’ve thought of saying ‘To hell with it! and moving. – Adnan Musallam, in reference to living in Bethlehem in the West Bank and having to go through all of the security checkpoints on the way to get to Jerusalem. The concept of being limited by all the security is not funny at all, but the way he said this was so unexpected and funny.
