24

As of yesterday I have 24 years. I decided to reflect on 24 things that I am grateful for. And include pictures because I like pictures.

1. My family. We may have our problems and fights and we may be weirdos (I often feel like I'm the one that got the really weird quirks...oh well), but I love every single one of them!

As well as extended family not pictured. I love you all :)

2. Good friends. I'm not going to put pictures here because there are too many who have meant a great deal to me, and they know who they are. 24 years of friends, that's pretty great.

3. Food. Oh man I definitely have my favorite things, most of which are not healthy but we can't have everything now can we? ;) Here's a few: In n Out. Slurpees. Smoothies. Chili cheese fritos. Soda. Lemon bars. Gelato. Italian food.

4. The places I've been able to travel abroad for whatever reason.

Jerusalem

Italy

Australia

(I have lots more traveling to do here...definitely many pictures to come!)

5. My mission. The whole 18 months and 3 weeks that I spent learning and teaching. The gospel. Italian. People. Life.

6. Physical exercise.

7. Education. And that I'm done with my undergrad haha.

8. Music.

9. Movies.

10. Colors.

11. Hugs.

12. Being outside.

13. The beach.

14. That I believe in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and lots of other things.

15. That I have a testimony and a purpose in life.

16. Really good quotes!

17. Beautiful views.

18. Funny memories.

19. Inside jokes.

20. Technology, except when it's a time sucker.

21. My healthy body.

22. That I can see and hear and smell and feel.

23. The little things that happen every day.

24. That I am happy. And I make the choice to be that way.

I could list all the little things, but these are some of the big things that I think of right now.

I'm a pretty lucky person. Crappy things have happened, and I haven't been happy every day of my life, but I have a lot of reasons to be happy! Life has been good to me and I'm grateful for my experiences, even the painful ones.

Hopefully there's lots and lots of life left to live. I look forward to the experiences to come. :)

People Watching

I really like people watching. One of my favorite P-days on the mission was my second week in Rome and the 4 of us sorelle went to St. Peter's Square, got a ton of McDonald's, sat on some steps in the shade and people watched. Hilarious.

Flashback!

So this Saturday there was a Greek Festival that Aaron and Sally wanted to go to, so I tagged along. Before it started we just sat on some grass at Southbank and I sat in the sun and watched people. Love it!

Then of course it was just really pretty as always!

We went to the festival and I was surrounded by delicious smells and tons of people. I tried many different types of Greek food that I had never had before, and it was the first time that I ate and liked calamari haha. Never been a fan before, but this stuff was tasty.

There was a Greek Orthodox church nearby so I went inside and enjoyed that. Beautiful church.

I can't escape the Saints!

Then yesterday when I got home from church (which we have 2:00-5:00...awful when you get out of church and it's getting dark already...) I had a beautiful view waiting for me from the deck!

Can you all just look how cute miss Emily is?
Check out that big booty!!! Thanks to her washable nappies that are massive haha. So cute!

Buona settimana a tutti!
